Impact on the Organization
Today, organizations must get more done in less time, with fewer resources. In this environment, determining where and how you spend your time has become more critical than ever. Team leaders and team members have discovered that they can be far more effective if they consistently apply proven time management techniques. These techniques include: determining priorities, assessing value, planning, and effective delegation. Organizations are recognizing that employees’ time is the most critical resource, and that they can drive significant value by managing that resource more effectively. One of the most powerful ways to do this is to give individuals the skills they need to manage their own time more effectively.
- Identify assumptions we make about time
- Define Time Management
- Develop prioritization tools
- Respond appropriately to interruptions and other potential or recurring “time wasters”
- Develop methods for proper delegation
This highly interactive module addresses the crucial importance of time management, and the central role that delegation plays in time management. Participants will master proven techniques for organizing work, setting and reevaluating priorities, and meeting deadlines. They will identify opportunities to save time and reduce stress through delegation, and gain new insight into the personal and business costs of not delegating. With this foundation, participants will learn effective delegation skills and tools. They will interact with the instructor and each other, experiencing simulations, exercises, and practice sessions where they can meaningfully apply these skills to realistic everyday work situations.
